NovaStar for Data Users / Overview

This documentation is intended for NovaStar data users, who need to perform tasks such as the following:

• engineering analysis
• visualize data in geographic information systems
• use data in websites

This documentation is organized into primary tasks that typically need to be performed. This documentation includes the following sections:

• Spatial Data
• Time Series Data
• Automated Data Retrievals

NovaStar Administrators who are intimately familiar with ALERT/ALERT2 flood warning systems will see that this documentation uses more general terms, for example "data type" rather than "sensor" or "point". This is by design, in order to allow for general data user without needing to understand system data management internals.
